Quail Mini Farm in Kelantan
The first project with Solarable. We installed a solar-powered lighting system for Amir's quail mini farm based in North Eastern part of Malaysia, in Kelantan

First UK customer!
We were approached by a lady from Somerset saying she was interested in using our device to power her outdoor horse electric fence! Who knew people could do all sorts of things with an off grid solar energy device.

Collaboration with Malano to power primary schools in Kenya
Hazim was invited to one of a monthly Sustainability forum, Enviroverse, where he connected with Simon Malano, a Masaai community leader from Loitokitok, Kenya. A couple conversations later, they both realized there was a chance to support each other. Together, they collaborated to build solar-powered lighting for Malano's primary school in Kenya. We've shared more about this on our LinkedIn post here.

Volta: First Solarable Prototype
In 2020, Hazim brought the knowledge he gained from Malaysia to the UK, where he first signed up for the New Enterprise Competition: Ideas Stage. See the first online pitch (due to covid) here.

Cold Homes Project
After several brainstorming, Solarable wanted to solve one of the biggest problems facing people in the UK: Cold Homes in the winter. The idea is that we could power heated jackets using solar energy- saving lots of money on heating (which is a big issue in the UK!).

Future Collaboration?
Are interested to collaborate on our next project? This might be a story about you in the future. Feel free to message Hazim or any Solarable team member and share your ideas. Together we can make a positive impact, one step at a time.
